FEDERAL Express Corporation (FedEx) has launched the FedEx Import Tool, a new platform intending to streamline the shipping process for Australian businesses.
FedEx says the self-service platform simplifies the complexities of import management, and provide greater visibility on the end-to-end experience, making importing more efficient.
The import tool helps reduce manual efforts in tasks such as customs documentation, duty calculation, and regulatory compliance, and as Australian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) expand internationally, the tool will assist focus on growth and efficiency.
The company says Australia’s strategic location in the Asia-Pacific region makes it a hub for trade and commerce, and given its geographical proximity, the country is well-positioned to meet the increasing demand for efficient customs clearance services as the region’s economy continues to grow.

FedEx says that as Australia experiences a $198 million monthly surge in imports, the import tool couldn’t have arrived at a more crucial time to save businesses on time, money, and efficiency.
The latest addition to the company’s line of digital solutions, the tool provides real-time shipment visibility and tracking, notifications to avoid delays, and 24/7 shipment tracking up to 90 days post-pickup.
