SHIPPING Australia has welcomed The MCC Group as its newest corporate associate member.
The MCC Group, headquartered in Brisbane, comprises the companies MCC Marine, Marine Cargo Care, MCC Biosecurity Services, Maritime Surveys & Claims and BLW Marine Management.
The companies’ maritime services include traditional marine surveying and advisory services, waterfront loading and discharge experts, cargo hold cleaning, terminal assistance and authorised officers.
The group also has offices in in Port Kembla, Newcastle and Sydney.
The MCC Group CEO Roger Weiller said Shipping Australia had “proven to be a great asset” to the maritime industry and Australia’s economy.
“The MCC Group, with its structure and independence, will now support Shipping Australia in various matters of interest and will work closely with its members and committees,” Mr Weiller said.
“We are a privately owned and operated businesses, and, along with SAL, we will work to preserve safety and efficiency protecting our coasts and trading partners, all the while working towards a profitable and sustainable industry for all participants.”
Shipping Australia CEO Melwyn Noronha thanked The MCC Group and Mr Weiller for their support.
