LOGISTICS software company OneStop has announced the expansion of its partnership with Tyne ACFS that will see its solutions integrated at the joint venture’s new Auckland depot.
Tyne ACFS, a joint venture between Tyne Containers and ACFS Port Logistics, recently announced it will open its third empty container depot, in New Zealand’s most populous city.
OneStop said the move builds on a successful collaboration in Australia, and the new facility will leverage the company’s advanced technology and streamlined solutions, enhancing the efficiency and resilience of the NZ supply chain.
The move will see Tyne ACFS implement OneStop’s Vehicle Booking System (VBS) at the new Auckland depot.
OneStop says VBS combines real-time tracking and streamlined processes provided by the company’s modal solution, and is expected to support efficient operations for up to 3500 TEU at the site, ensuring seamless container movements and reduced turnaround times.
The freight and logistics solutions specialists expect its technology will enable Tyne ACFS to deliver exceptional service to carriers and shipping lines alike, from optimizing resource planning to enhanced container visibility.
Chris Harnett, chief commercial officer at OneStop said, “This expansion represents another step forward in our joint mission to reshape the Oceania supply chain”.
“Our enhanced partnership with Tyne ACFS allows us to bring unparalleled container visibility, efficiency, and innovation to New Zealand, benefiting the entire logistics ecosystem.”
The new Tyne ACFS depot in Auckland will be operational starting 18 November, and is poised to set new industry standards for container management in New Zealand, OneStop says.
In its announcement regarding the Auckland depot, ACFS said “Tyne ACFS have already successfully secured key shipping lines and welcome the opportunity to take on additional lines”.
The announcement also said truck turnaround and efficient service to carriers will be a key focus for the business, to make Tyne ACFS the depot of choice in Auckland for carriers.
The Tyne ACFS partnership began in 2009 with the first depot opening in Port Botany, NSW, followed shortly after by the second depot being opened in Fremantle, Western Australia.
