LEEWARD Group has announced its new partnership with BSM Global, which will enables booking requests between the two companies’ systems.
The parent company of shipping agencies Quay Shipping and Nautical Shipping, Leeward Group said the partnership with BSM Global intends to provide priority service, greater efficiencies, and premium service delivery for the two companies’ joint customers.
The Australian-headquartered BSM Global specialises in global trade management systems and solutions, and its product aims to deliver solutions defined around clients’ key business objectives, offering optimised functionality to meet export and import trade requirements.
“Our partnership with BSM Global exemplifies our ongoing commitment to purposeful, innovative integrations with industry partners,” Leeward Group said in a statement.
“We are dedicated to advancing digital initiatives that enhance the service experience and drive forward-thinking solutions within the shipping industry.”
As advocates of digitilisation in shipping, Leeward Group reported to be the first company in Australia to issue an electronic delivery order, and alongside partner Compay, also developed a fully integrated payment system now used in the industry.
Leeward Group is also partnered with Matchbox Exchange, a platform focused on the re-use and exchange of containers, an initiative which Leeward says is intended to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and help lessen carbon emissions.
The announcement follows the news on 12 December that supply chain software developer WiseTech Global had entered an agreement to acquire BSM Global.
