GLADSTONE Ports Corporation’s chief executive officer Craig Haymes has resigned, advising staff yesterday (24 July) that it would be his last day with the corporation.
Mr Haymes was chief executive for GPC for more than two years, joining in May 2022.
Prior to GPC Mr Haymes had held such positions as vice president at oil company Inpex and chief operating officer at ExxonMobil.
GPC chief operating officer Kim Gebers has been appointed acting CEO following the resignation.
“I have enjoyed my time here and I would like to thank you for being such a great team to work with,” Mr Haymes said.
“I appreciate all of the support and encouragement you have given me during my time here, and I wish you all the best for the future.”
GPC chairman Adrian Noon thanked Mr Haymes for his service over the past two years.
“On behalf of the Board I would like to express our gratitude to Mr Haymes” Mr Noon said, “I wish Mr Haymes all the best for his future endeavours”.
The move follows the resignation of GPC’s chair, Anthony Lynham, in May this year, with the corporation appointing Adrian Noon as new chair less than a month later.
In 2019, the GPC board sacked then CEO Peter O’Sullivan following an internal investigation.
