SUSTAINABLE shippers’ association Greenabl has appointed Peter Creeden to the board as a non-executive director.
Mr Creeden is a supply chain expert and managing director of Australian advisory firm MPC International.
Greenabl describes itself as the logistics industry’s first co-operative procurement group committed to decarbonisation,
Greenabl co-founder Ken O’Brien said the organisation is building its board with a team of industry experts who are passionate about decarbonising maritime supply chains.
“Peter’s past experiences and commitment to environmental sustainability make him the perfect candidate to join our board and to help launch the international expansion of Greenabl into Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
Prior to founding MPC International, Mr Creeden served in a global management position at Hamburg Süd.
He has supported supply-chain improvement initiatives throughout his career and is a member of various supply chain digital standard associations pushing the industry to adopt a digital partnership ecosystem.
Mr Creeden is also a senior lecturer at the Australian Maritime College and was appointed a senior industry fellow at RMIT’s Centre for Future Skills & Workforce Transformation.
“The path to supply chain decarbonisation requires immediate action by all stakeholders,” Mr Creeden said,
“Greenabl, a neutral, data-driven platform, is precisely what the transportation industry needs to enable a fact-based, metric-driven, neutral, data-driven platform approach to the measurement, mitigation, and offsetting of supply chain emissions.
“I am excited to be able to help Greenabl bring this vision to market in the United States and to provide guidance on the firm’s expansion into Australia and New Zealand.”
