BRAZILIAN Navy sail-training ship Cisne Branco crashed into a bridge on the Guayas River in Ecuador. After the allision, a tug assisting the vessel capsized in apparently strong currents.
No injuries were reported.
Cisne Branco means “white swan” in Portuguese. The ship is the third Brazilian Navy sail-training vessel to carry the name. The vessel was launched in 1999.
