SINGAPOREAN container logistics shipping company SeaLead will officially enter the Australian reefer market, says its exclusive Australian agents, Nautical Shipping (NS).

The shipping agency released an announcement yesterday (5 August) detailing the move, stating SeaLead’s entry into the Australian market will leverage its containers and advanced logistics network.

According to NS, SeaLead, who specialise in container cargo services, will aim to meet the growing demand for efficient and secure transportation of temperature-sensitive products, including meat, dairy, and pharmaceuticals, amongst others.

SeaLead’s entry into the reefer market will reportedly cover major Australian ports, providing connectivity to global markets and intending to ensure timely delivery of perishable goods.

The company says it offers a weekly service frequency into China, offering the “quickest” transit time into Qingdao and Shanghai from Melbourne and Brisbane.

The announcement further claims that SeaLead is dedicated to sustainable practices, utilising energy efficient refrigeration units and implementing eco-friendly initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint.

“We are thrilled to expand our services into the Australian Reefer Market. This move aligns with our strategic vision to enhance our global footprint and provide our customers with top-notch shipping solutions” the announcement said.

“We look forward to serving the Australian market and contributing to the growth of the perishable goods sector.”

SeaLead began in 2017 and is headquartered in Singapore. Its website says it initially launched by operating feeder services in the Red Sea to respond to demand from Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier customers.
