CRANE specialist Konecranes has introduced reach and height modernisations for ship-to-shore equipment to help operators to adapt to swiftly changing demand and ship sizes.
Konecranes sales and marketing director Alfredo Bouza said, “Our aim with these STS crane modifications is to deliver evolutionary, incremental and essential change into existing crane fleets of all brands to enable them to adapt and thrive in a radically changed environment”.
The company said its STS boom extension and height upgrades can help the equipment service larger vessels at reduced cost and environmental through greater capacity and efficiency. The upgrades can also help older cranes meet the latest ship size and speed requirements.
