PORT Authority of New South Wales chief executive Grant Gilfillan and Svitzer Australia chief executive Nicolaj Noes are to be guest speakers at the Shipping Australia Biennial Newcastle Luncheon.
Mr Gilfillan has been chief executive and director with Port Authority of New South Wales for five years and was previously chief executive and director with Sydney Ports Corporation.
Mr Noes has been managing director at Svitzer Australia for a year and was previously head of operations for Maersk Line in the Asia Pacific and managing director of Maersk Australia Ltd.
These luncheons are hosted by the shipping industry and, according to SAL, have proved to be “most successful and provide an ideal opportunity for associates of the industry to meet and network in a relaxed atmosphere”.
The lunch is to be held at the Newcastle Club on Friday September 20.
