ANL’s Westpac service is now calling the Vanuatu ports of Santo and Port Vila.
The shipping line said the addition of these calls make its Westpac service the only direct connection between Australia and Santo.
The company said the addition to the Westpac service will provide an 18-day frequency into and out of Vanuatu and offer transits to transhipment hubs Tauranga and Brisbane. Imports from Asia will feeder via Lae.
ANL said the updated service commenced operation early March calling port of Santo, Vanuatu on Sofrana Surville (voyage 285), 31 March.
The Westpac service will continue to be operated with two 1000-TEU ANL vessels Sorfana Surville and Sofrana Tourville.
The service now calls Motukea Island, Lae, Kimbe, Rabul, Honiara, Santo, Port Vila, Tauranga, Auckland, Noumea, Brisbane and Townsville.
