TRANSPORT and logistics company Toll Group is investing $10 million in a warehouse facility in Baeksa, South Korea.
The expanded facility is 23,000 square metres in size. The company said it would triple its warehouse footprint in the country.
The investment includes automation technology to support the growth in e-commerce, retail and omni-channel fulfilment for retail customers.
Toll Group Korea country manager Park Seungtaek said the investment is part of the company’s broader strategy to grow its business in Asia.
“We are seeing exponential growth and strong demand from our customers for advanced warehouse management solutions,” he said.
“Our automation technology enables us to provide customers with improved productivity, as well as real-time tracking and traceability.”
Toll said it has 160 facilities in 13 markets across Asia. It has $650 million of investments planned over the next four years to expand operations in the region.
