SEAROAD officially opened its largest northern Tasmanian facility in Launceston on 26 July.
The 15,000 square-metre facility includes 5800 square metres of storage area.
SeaRoad executive chairman and co-founder Chas Kelly said the new facility represents a significant investment for the shipping and transport logistics company.
“As an Australian, family-owned business, SeaRoad believes in investing in and working together with the communities we serve,” Mr Kelly said.
“Our new Launceston depot not only enhances our operational capabilities, but also creates job opportunities, supporting the region’s economic development.”
SeaRoad co-founder Terry Morris also welcomed the opening of the Launceston facility.
“This marks a significant milestone for SeaRoad as we continue to strengthen our commitment to seamless shipping and logistics services,” he said.
SeaRoad operates a dedicated freight shipping service between Devonport and Melbourne.
