QUBE has entered an agreement to acquire Stevenson Logistics, a transport and logistics firm based in Fremantle.
In an announcement to Stevenson Logistics customers last week, Qube said the business would become part of the Qube group effective 1 November 2023.
Stevenson Logistics was established in 1930. The family-owned business specialises in transport, warehousing, quarantine and special projects.
“We’re pleased to have acquired this established container transport and logistics operator which will expand our capabilities and exposure to the hay and agricultural export market in Western Australia,” a Qube spokesperson told DCN.
“This is consistent with Qube’s strategy to diversify by geography and market.”
Qube in its announcement said the Stevenson Logistics brand would add another chapter to the Qube group’s ongoing growth.
“Qube has grown and evolved over 15-plus years through a mixture of organic growth and targeted M&A and we have a proven track record of successfully integrating businesses into the group while continuing to deliver for customers.
“I am confident that the situation will be no different this time around and look forward to continuing delivering the quality service and support you have come to expect from Stevenson Logistics.”
Stevenson Logistics claims to be the oldest and largest independent transport and logistics wharf operator in Western Australia.
It acquired Container Cargo Specialist (CCS) in October 2015. According to Stevenson Logistics, the deal created one of the largest transport and warehouse operators in Fremantle Port, with 50 prime movers and more than 100 employees across the business.
