PROMINENT parcel delivery franchise, CouriersPlease, has begun a 12-month “discovery phase” of its new driver application aimed at assisting its fleet of franchisees choose the most efficient runs to expedite parcel pickups and deliveries.
CPGo – an Android and iOS-based application – has been installed on every Zebra TC56 handheld device operated by more than 750 franchisees.
Last year, CP delivered more than 19 million parcels across Australia.
CP chief commercial officer Paul Roper said they were “extremely excited at the prospect of analysing our delivery performance via the CPGo app over the next 12 months as we continue our transformation journey”.
“Our franchisees each have exclusive delivery and collection rights to their respective territories, most of whom are familiar with the area,” Mr Roper said.
“However, there’s always the element of the ‘unknown’ around every corner at any time throughout the day, which can impact the delivery experience for the end consumer.”
CPGo is not only expected to benefit franchisees, but it is also to be an asset for contractors who be unfamiliar with the area and best route to take. “We anticipate that our investment in this technology will significantly reduce the number of hours they will spend each week in traffic and help avoid routes that slow down deliveries,” Mr Roper said.
