RÖHLIG Logistics has appointed Niels Rudolph as director of global contract logistics.

The logistics company said Mr Rudolph will be responsible for its global warehouse capacities.

Mr Rudolph has served in leading contract logistics roles in Germany, South Africa, Southeast Asia and the United States, according to Röhlig Logistics.

His most recent role was regional logistics manager for Southern and Central Germany at Pfenning Logistics.

Hylton Gray, CEO Sea Freight, Air Freight, Contract Logistics & Sales at Röhlig Logistics, said Mr Rudolph would bring expertise and international experience in contract logistics to his new role.

“With his help, we will further strengthen and scale our contract logistics operations worldwide,” Mr Gray said.

And Mr Rudolph said he looks forward to the new challenge.

“Our focus will be on establishing operational standards, implementing software solutions, extending centralised and decentralised competences as well as expanding our international contract logistics footprint in close collaboration with colleagues across the globe,” he said.

Mr Rudolph officially stepped into his role at Röhlig Logistics on 1 November.
