HUTCHISON Ports has reported ongoing congestion and delays at its yard at the Sydney International Container Terminals since Monday (4 January).
Hutchison said carrier slots were cancelled due to an “unforeseen weather event”.
The company released a notice just after midday on Wednesday stating, “due to the unforeseen events, SICTL are still experiencing delays due to congestion in yard”.
Also on Wednesday, the company said, “ASC Block 5 and ASC Block 6 are still unavailable until further notice. Any trucks with imports out of these blocks will be non-serviced on arrival”.
Hutchison Ports has not replied to DCN’s requests for comment.
