ASIA-PACIFIC logistics specialist Logos has acquired a logistics development site in Western Sydney, which it plans to develop into a $500 million logistics estate.
Logos acquired the site from charitable property organisation Sargents, in partnership with the Logos Australian Logistics Venture (LALV). It is understood the site was purchased for $180 million.
The 27-hectare site is located on Archbold Road in Eastern Creek, one of Sydney’s key industrial suburbs, where demand from e-commerce and logistics occupiers is growing.
Logos said the site would benefit from direct access to Sydney’s arterial road network and from close proximity to Western Sydney Airport.
The plan is to develop the site into multi-tenanted logistics estate with more than 95,000 square metres of gross lettable area.
Logos intends to implement initiatives such as rooftop solar power and dedicate almost four hectares of land for bush regeneration and regeneration.
“We are excited to be growing LALV’s development pipeline into the strategic central western Sydney logistics market,” Logos’ head of Australia and New Zealand Darren Searle said.
“This new Eastern Creek logistics estate will provide customers with medium to longer term flexibly for growth in this key strategic location.
“We look forward to working with our partners and the local council on delivering this new estate.”
