FREIGHT and Trade Alliance has announced the recruitment of Western Australian industry advocate John Park as its head of business operations.
Mr Park is an experienced forwarder and former regional manager WA for the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia.
He is to start his new role on 18 June.
FTA director and co-founder Paul Zalai said Mr Park would support members nationally on operational matters, as well as managing the alliance’s “growing number” of WA members and would advocate for positive reform on operational and policy committees.
“At a personal level, I have had the privilege of working alongside John in various capacities for over 25 years and am excited in knowing the tremendous value that he will add to our administrative and advocacy team,” Mr Zalai said.
FTA is to formally introducing Mr Park to members at its annual CPD & CBC – Border and Biosecurity Compliance Program in Melbourne on 19 June.
