HEAVY hitters from government and industry will gather at Essendon Fields, Melbourne this week for the Australian Federation of International Forwarders National Conference.
To be held at Hyatt Place, the event begins with a dinner on Thursday night, followed by the conference itself on Friday.
Victorian ports and freight minister Melissa Horne will provide the opening address, talking about the many topics and themes affecting her portfolio.
Other speakers are to include Commissioner Michael Outram from the Australian Border Force, WiseTech Global founder and chief executive Richard White, Steve Parker from DHL who is to speak about BREXIT and Jim Cooper from the Port of Melbourne who is to discuss trends in the ports sector.
Lawyer Andrew Hudson also will be on hand to discuss trade topics, while Melwyn Noronha from Shipping Australia will talk about the latest developments in international shipping.
This will be followed by a panel session.
