WESTERN Australia’s export sector will be one of the beneficiaries of a program to attract new international airlines to a revamped Perth airport.

That program encompasses Routes Asia 2025 which was announced on 20 November.

The leading aviation event for international airlines, airports and national tourism organisations will be held in Perth from the 25th to  27th March 2025 and is expected to attract more than 1000 delegates to Perth to plan and progress new air services.

Key decision-makers from more than 170 airlines and 300 airports are expected to attend the three-day forum in Perth.

Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove said Routes Asia provided a unique opportunity to promote Perth directly to international airlines.

“It brings international airlines to our front door and provides us a unique opportunity to shine the spotlight on the transformation of Australia’s Western Hub,” Ms Holsgrove said.

“Perth Airport has commenced a $5billion investment program that will deliver a new parallel runway, new terminals facilities, two multi-storey carparks with associated roadworks, an upgrade of Terminal 2, and the airport’s first hotel.

“The program of works will completely change the face of Perth Airport over the next decade and will create a world-class airport experience for travellers while delivering the capacity and efficiency our airline partners need to grow their connections into Western Australia.

“So, this is the perfect time to promote the opportunities available for airlines who are considering growing their services or commencing new flights to Perth.

“Perth Airport, Tourism WA and the State Government work closely together to attract new international airlines to Perth which creates significant value for Western Australia’s tourism, business, international education and WA’s export sectors.”

Singapore Airlines has been appointed as the official airline partner and delegate registrations now open.
