IT IS with great regret we inform industry Michael James Hawes passed away on Sunday at the age of 58 (10/1/1962- 26/1/2020).
Michael is survived by his partner Rhonda Atkinson and his sons Joshua and David.
Michael started his forwarding career at International Concept Forwarding (ICF) 1982-1993 and then two years at International Freight Consolidators.
From 1995 -2006 Michael was with Panalpina where he worked in all aspects of the industry from Forwarding , Warehousing to Accounts before returning back to ICF in 2007 until 2009.
In 2009 Michael left the forwarding industry and was senior logistics manager at Downer EDI Rail.
In 2015 he joined Associated Customs and Forwarding Services (ACF) as the export manager.
Peter Wrigley, director ACF stated “Michael was an old school forwarder, he worked hard and played hard. He worked till the job was done and he always looked after the customer. He was a great employee and friend. He will be missed by everyone at ACF”.
Funeral Details: Tuesday 4 Feb 10.30am,
