SEAWAY, the ship agency and freight forwarding company, has acquired Towers International, a forwarder specialising in perishable air-freight exports.
In a social media post, Seaway said the partnership would strengthen its volumes and help grow key networks.
“We’re very excited to welcome the management from Towers International and their team into the Seaway business and look forward to working closely in the week and months ahead,” the company said.
Towers International has been operating for more than 25 years. It is an Australian approved Aviation Security Regulated Agent and IATA cargo agents.
The company is located in the Sydney suburb of Mascot and has a security-controlled, quarantine-approved warehouse facility, which includes a temperature control area, cool rooms and freezer.
Seaway was founded in 1999 and has grown from its shipping agency business to offer forwarding, logistics, refrigerated, air freight and warehousing services in Australia and New Zealand.
