CAPITAINE Dampier is soon to become PFL Matai.
The name change will take effect in Brisbane on 17-18 January as the vessel moves from Neptune Pacific Direct Line control to PFL.
PFL will become the vessel operator and Neptune Pacific Direct Line will become a container operator.
In a statement, NPDL said the vessel would continue to operate on its existing ANZPAC service.
Three vessels operate on the service, which connects Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Suva, Lautoka, Apia, Pago Pago, Nuku’alofa and Tauranga.
The service has a fixed-day fortnightly rotation.
