PILBARA Ports Authority has reported an increase in total throughput at its ports.
PPA said it delivered a total monthly throughput of 62.7 million tonnes for August. This was an increase of 5% increase compared with August 2021.
The Port of Port Hedland saw a monthly throughput of 46.7 million tonnes, of which 45.8 million tonnes was iron ore exports. This was a 5% increase to total throughput compared with August 2021.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 207,000 tonnes, a decrease of 9% compared with August 2021.
The Port of Dampier saw a total throughput of 14.9 million tonnes, a 6% increase from August 2021.
Imports through the Port of Dampier totalled 73,000 tonnes, a decrease of 32% from August 2021.
