Pilbara Ports Authority handled a total throughput of 59 million tonnes of cargo last month, which was a 2% decrease compared to July last year.
Port Hedland saw a monthly throughput of 45 million tonnes, with iron ore exports accounting for 44.3 million tonnes. Total throughput was a 2% increase from the July 2020.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 180,000 tonnes, which was a decrease of 7% compared to July 2020.
The Port of Dampier saw a total throughput of 13 million tonnes, a 13% decrease from the same month last year.
Imports through the Port of Dampier came to a total of 114,000 tonnes, which was a 185% increase from July 2020.
