THROUGHPUT at the ports of the Pilbara has seen an increase in November.
According to the latest statistics from the Pilbara Ports Authority, there was an increase of 7% in throughput last month, compared with November 2021.
The ports handled a total of 64.2 million tonnes over the month.
The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 48.2 million tonnes, of which 47.6 million tonnes was iron ore exports. This was a 10% increase to total throughput compared with November 2021.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 181,000 tonnes, an increase of 8% compared with November 2021.
The Port of Dampier delivered a total throughput of 14.9 million tonnes, a 1% decrease from November 2021.
Imports through the Port of Dampier totalled 114,000 tonnes, an increase of 2% from November 2021.
