MAERSK Tankers as appointed a new CEO as the previous chief executive takes the helm at Maersk Supply Service.

Tina Revsbech is now the CEO of Maersk Tankers, replacing Christian Ingerslev.

Earlier in her career, Ms Revsbech spent more than 15 years with the company as head of chartering and head of Maersk Tankers for Americas and Singapore, respectively.

She previously worked as executive vice president of bulk shipping company Fednav, CEO of BW Tankers and senior vice president at Torm.

Maersk Tankers chair Robert Uggla said the board was very pleased to announce Ms Revsbech’s appointment.

“Tina holds extensive leadership experience and an outstanding commercial record,” Mr Uggla said.

“She has worked and lived on three continents with an ability to develop strong customer relationships, build high performing teams, and address global supply challenges through innovative shipping solutions.”

Mr Uggla said Ms Revsbech joined the company at a critical time for shipping, with energy security disrupted and global energy markets fragmented by geopolitics.

“At the same time, the industry is facing the beginning of a green transition with implications and opportunities for many parts of the value chain,” he said.

“I am confident that Tina and her colleagues will continue to provide valued and impactful solutions to our customers, pool partners, and society during these uncertain times.”

Ms Revsbech said she was excited to return to A.P. Moller Group.

“Maersk Tankers has gone through a significant structural transformation over the last years,” she said.

“I am excited to take on the responsibility to accelerate growth and to develop our service offering to remain the leading tanker company.”

The Maersk Tankers board thanked Mr Ingerslev for his service over 25 years, including almost seven years as CEO.

“As CEO, Christian spear-headed the separation of the tanker activities from A.P. Moller – Maersk in 2017, restructured the business and developed new activities such as ZeroNorth,” Mr Uggla said.

“I am excited to see Christian become CEO of Maersk Supply Service and look forward to following him in his new role.”
