July throughput down at Pilbara ports

PILBARA Ports Authority reported a drop in monthly throughput at its ports in July.

It’s total throughput over the month came to 59.7 million tonnes, which was a 5% decrease from July 2022.

Port Hedland’s monthly throughput for July this year was 44.5 million tonnes, of which 43.7 million tonnes was iron ore exports.

This was a 1% decrease compared with the same month last year.

Imports through the Port Hedland totalled 191,000 tonnes, an increase of 4% compared with July 2022.

The Port of Dampier delivered a total throughput of 14 million tonnes last month, a 3% decrease from July 2022.

Imports through the Port of Dampier came to 107,000 tonnes, an increase of 15% from the same month in 2022.
