The highly anticipated Care-Factor 2025, Christmas in July Industry Charity Ball will take place on the 25th of July at the iconic Fullerton Hotel in Sydney. Last year, the industry came together and raised an astounding $100,000 for two very worthwhile causes, showcasing the incredible potential of collective effort. This year, the focus is on supporting Find Ya Feet, an organisation founded by the dedicated Tommy Herschell. Tommy’s unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of our children is truly inspiring. Find Ya Feet works tirelessly to eliminate bullying and its detrimental impact on mental health.
Find Ya Feet runs workshops in schools, sporting clubs, and communities, designed to empower both boys and girls. These workshops provide a safe platform for young people to share their stories, develop the skills to take ownership of their experiences, and gain the tools needed to shift the often-toxic cultures that prevent youth from speaking out. Tommy Herschell’s vision is clear: to foster an environment where young people feel confident and supported in addressing issues that affect their mental well-being.
The latest statistics surrounding youth mental health are sobering. In 2023 alone, 298 young Australians aged 18-24 took their own lives. The majority of these tragic losses were within the 15-17 age group, accounting for 71.3% of the total, while 2% of deaths occurred in children aged 14 and below.
Care-Factor recognises the critical importance of the work being done by Find Ya Feet and is committed to ensuring its continued success.
