PATRICK Terminals has opened applications for its 2025 WILpower cadet program.
WILpower, or the Women in Logistics program, was set up in 2015 to provide women with career development opportunities in maritime and logistics.
It aims to promote gender equality and help increase the representation of women in key roles at Patrick Terminals.
Successful intakes in 2019 and 2022 have helped shape careers for participants, within Patrick Terminals and across the broader logistics sector.
“By directly addressing gender imbalance within our workforce, we aim to drive lasting change and encourage greater representation of women in key operational and management roles,” Patrick Terminals CEO Michael Jovicic said.
“Through the WILpower Cadet Program, we are providing opportunities that empower women to build rewarding careers in logistics and play a critical role in the future of our industry.”
Patrick is offering six cadet positions this year: four in terminal operations (with a focus on health and safety), one in engineering and one in the company’s corporate safety team.
The two-year program offers includes an onboarding program, sponsored tertiary study towards a post-graduate qualification, individualised mentoring and ongoing support with senior personnel.
Applications for the 2025 program are due to close on 21 February.
