SOUTHERN Ports Chief Executive Officer Keith Wilks, Fremantle Ports Chief Executive Officer Jodie Ransom and Mid West Ports Chief Executive Officer Damian Tully have been elected to the Ports Australia Board.

They join the CEOs of the Port of Melbourne, Port of Townsville, TasPorts and Flinders Ports who were each re-elected as returning Directors.

The new-look, 12-person board was formally elected at the Ports Australia AGM last week.

Stewart Lammin will continue as the Board’s Chair with support from Anthony Donald and Marika Calfas in the Deputy Chair roles.

Mr Wilks said Western Australian ports are a significant contributor to the national economy, so it’s great to see such a strong WA contingent on the new board.

Ports Australia Chair Stewart Lammin said Mr Wilks would be a valuable addition to the Board of Directors and he was looking forward to working with all the new directors.

“The experience Keith has as someone with more than three decades working in various roles at various ports cannot be understated,” Mr Lammin said.

“I’m sure this is going to be another great Ports Australia Board to work with and together we will continue providing a strong collective voice for our industry while it plays a critical role in the national economy.”

Mr Wilks will provide his unique perspective and knowledge of the industry developed during his 35-year career – which includes time spent at sea and in various operational roles before he transitioned into senior leadership roles during the last decade.

“I’m excited by the prospect of what I can bring to Ports Australia in my role as a Director and I’m looking forward to being involved in discussions about the industry,” Mr Wilks said.

“The ports industry has been a huge part of my working life and I’m honoured to be able to give back to the sector.”
