THE PORT of Fremantle will celebrate the maritime industry with a Maritime Day on Saturday 2 November.
The working port will promote careers and maritime education opportunities with more than 90 displays at the Fremantle Passenger Terminal.
More than 10,000 people are expected to visit the port for the free event which runs from 10am to 4pm.
Border Force will be there and the Royal Australian Navy will have an interactive display, visitors will be able to board a tug or emergency response vessel or take a free harbour boat ride.
Free entertainment includes music, mermaids, train rides, face painting and art or visit the WA Maritime Museum for a donation.
Historic and modern photography will be on display with a shuttle bus service from the E Shed Markets running every 30 minutes.
