THE DCN Customer Service Award recognises a standard of high-quality customer service offered by shipping lines or their agents, as recognised by their customers.

The customer service category is unique at the DCN Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards because it judged through an online survey.

To win this award a business must excel in providing the highest level of customer experience via their involvement in communications, problem solving and innovation.

COSCO Shipping Lines (Oceania) won the award in 2023. COSCO Oceania operates a network of containerised services across Australia, connecting the country’s major ports with global trade routes.

Steven Zou from COSCO Oceania said receiving the 2023 award was a tremendous honour and a recognition of their team’s hard work in ensuring its customers receive top-tier service.

“This award highlights the importance of customer satisfaction and trust in the shipping industry,” Mr Zou said.

“Over the past year, it has not only boosted our team’s morale but also reaffirmed our commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

“The recognition has helped elevate awareness of our efforts, motivating us to continue delivering exceptional service.”

The sponsor for the award this year is DP World, who proudly backs DCN’s Customer Service award, championing innovative and communicative customer experiences.

“Our focus is on smoother global trade with top-notch services,” DP World said.

“At DP World, we exist to make the world’s trade flow better, and customer service is an integral part of this mission.

“Congratulations to the winner for advancing this vision through exemplary customer service in the supply chain!
