SOUTHERN Ports received the Asset Management Resilience Award at the national Asset Management Awards in Sydney last week.
The annual awards ceremony aims to recognise businesses contributing to the advancement of asset management in Australia and internationally.
Southern Ports said the resilience award recognises how the port has transformed its asset management system into a fully integrated and digitally enabled ISO 55000-consisent system. ISO 55000 is the international standard for asset management.
Southern Ports CEO Steve Lewis said the award recognised the work put into transforming the organisation’s system.
“This is fantastic recognition for our port development team and everyone that has been involved in the development of our asset management system, which is the first of its kind in Australia,” Mr Lewis said.
“The system delivers unrivalled levels of intelligence in near real-time – enabling us to rapidly prepare, predict and pivot to continuously enhance asset and organisational resilience over time.”
In addition to the awards, Southern Ports representatives presented case studies on the organisation’s training management processes, its strategic asset planning and its data- driven business model.
