ASX-listed logistics and freight company Wiseway Group is cancelling an aircraft lease agreement announced in August.
The company announced it would lease a Boeing 737-800. The company was to have access to the aircraft from late August through August 2030.
In a statement to the ASX, the company said the agreement had been terminated “following a dispute with the lessor, GA Telesis LLC regarding the delivery condition of the aircraft”.
The company said it intends to continue to work towards operating aircraft, which it says will “delivery greater efficiencies across its network of logistics hubs across key countries”.
Wiseway is seeking to secure a replacement aircraft to lease.
“The termination of this agreement will delay Wiseway’s plans to introduce an aircraft into service with a view to offering its customers enhanced services, including achieving more capacity and greater speed and agility to meet their evolving international cargo requirements, but it will not preclude Wiseway from executing its continued strategy of aircraft operations,” the company said.
