AUSTRALIAN freight and logistics operator Wiseway has appointed a new chief financial officer.
Chris Scholtz has stepped into the role, effective immediately. Mr Scholtz has nearly two decades of senior corporate experience in the construction engineering, industrial services and technology sectors, according to an announcement from Wiseway.
The company said his appointment comes after an “extensive” recruitment process.
Wiseway CEO Roger Tong said: “Chris’ experience of guiding sophisticated organisations through both organic growth and acquisition activity will be a tremendous asset as we continue Wiseway’s journey from a simple air-exporter to an integrated logistics solutions provider, built around a global network of interconnected business divisions”.
Wiseway was established in 2005 and is now one of the top-three outbound airfreight logistics providers in Australia, according to the company.
The ASX-listed firm has operation hubs in Australia, the US and the Asia Pacific region.
