ALPHAXO Risk Partners has appointed highly experienced marine insurance expert Matthew Williams as its new claims and operations executive.
AlphaXO is a specialist insurance broking and risk-consulting firm.
Mr Williams has spent 24 years in the maritime insurance industry. He was most recently general manager for Proteus Marine insurance. Prior to that, he was operations manager for QBE Speciality Risks.
AlphaXO director Robert Hammersley said, “I’ve had many dealings with Matthew over the years and can genuinely say he is a truly talented marine insurance professional and a nice guy too! We already have the most experienced marine insurance broking team in the country and Matthew’s appointment only adds to the extraordinary level of support we are committed to giving our clients.
“As a business we are well placed to achieve our goal of being the maritime and cargo industries’ go-to insurance broker in our region.”
Mr Williams said he was excited to join the team.
“One of my first tasks will be supporting existing development work on some of the technology initiatives AlphaXO has underway, an area I particularly enjoy and have considerable experience in,” he said.
“I’m also really looking forward to more direct contact with the assureds, our clients, in helping them resolve any claim incidents as efficiently as possible.”
