THE MARITIME Union of Australia has issued a notice of protected industrial action for Patrick’s AutoStrad terminal at Brisbane.
The notice includes “a ban on attending for work on days an employee is rostered as ‘off/avail’ commencing from 11pm Friday 28 May 2021 and finishing 11:00pm Sunday 30 May 2021”.
It also includes “a ban on working overtime at Fisherman Island (Brisbane) from 11pm Friday 28 May 2021 and finishing 11:00pm Sunday 30 May 2021”.
In a note to customers, Patrick Terminals said it continues to work towards a solution with the MUA that is “fair and reasonable for all parties”.
“We are once again disappointed in the MUA’s approach in taking PIA at this stage in the discussions. Patrick Terminals will continue to work closely with customers to ensure continuity of the supply chain across all terminals where the MUA has taken PIA,” the note said.
“Our business is committed to minimising the impact on our customers and our commercial team will proactively work with our customers to minimise any disruptions.”
The union has previously given notice of PIA for Patrick’s Fremantle, Brisbane and Port Botany terminals.
