CRAIG Jasienski has quit his role as president and CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen, effective yesterday, with the CFO, Torbjørn Wist, stepping into the role of acting CEO.
The company’s board said it and Mr Jasienski had, in dialogue, “agreed to end his employment with the company”.
“The board extends its gratitude to Craig Jasienski for his efforts in various positions in the group over more than 30 years,” a company announcement said.
“The board will initiate a process to find a permanent CEO.”
WW CFO and now acting CEO Mr Wist joined Wallenius Wilhelmsen executive vice-president and CFO in October last year.
He has previously served as in similar roles with Scandinavian Airlines and has held several managerial positions within both the telecommunications and financial services industries internationally.
He holds a business degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.
