GEELONGPORT says it is “thrilled” to team up with the City of Greater Geelong, providing 3,000 indigenous plants and helping achieve a goal to plant one million new trees in Greater Geelong by 2030.
Some 1,600 plants and trees were planted as part of a revegetation project at Moorpanyal Park.
The project is helping beautify the area along The Esplanade and providing “valuable habitat” for various types of wildlife.
“A further 1,400 plants are expected to be planted in Autumn next year and we look forward to involving our North Shore residents and GeelongPort employees,” a GeelongPort spokesperson said.
