SHIPPING giant MSC has announce its Golden Horn service, with a view to “complementing” an existing intra-Asia network and linking China, Korea and the east Russia coast.
“As a truly global shipping company with customer-facing offices across Asia and Russia, MSC is well placed to serve this new market,” the company said in a statement.
“The Golden Horn is a weekly service that will connect the largest container terminal in eastern Russia, Vostochniy, with the biggest container ports in China and South Korea.”
With the Golden Horn, MSC customers are expected to benefit from one of the most important rail gateways linking the Far East to Europe via Vladivostok.
The first sailing will be MSC Nora with an estimated time of arrival at Shanghai on 19 August.
The full port rotation is: Vladivostok – Vostochniy – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan – Vladivostok
