NSW Ports recently hosted a delegation of 35 visitors from the Port of Osaka in Japan for an informative presentation and guided tour of Port Botany.
According to NSW Ports, their guests discussed Port Botany’s operations with Campbell Mason, asking questions about approaches to sustainability and the introduction of key concepts such as the Environmental Shipping Incentive, an Australian first.
Delegates were also interested in learning how their project to increase on-dock rail capacity at Patrick Terminals Sydney Autostrad is developing, with the arrival of the Automated Rail Mounted Gantry cranes due soon.
NSW Ports’ customer liaison coordinator Michael Cumming led the guided tour, answering questions and bringing the port precinct to life with key facts and figures.
