DEPUTY Prime Minister Michael McCormack has been confirmed as the key speaker at the Australian Logistics Council Forum 2019, to be held this March at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Mr McCormack, also the nation’s infrastructure minister, is to outline the federal government’s infrastructure priorities and progress on the development of the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy, set to be released this year.
Mr McCormack’s presentation is likely to be closely scrutinised given it will be close to the likely announcement of the 2019 federal election.
The list of other speakers is a long one, but some of the big names include Port of Melbourne chief executive Brendan Bourke, NSW Ports chief executive Marika Calfas, Pacific National chief executive Dean Dalla Valle, Ports Australia chief executive Mike Gallacher, Landbridge Group vice president Mike Hughes, Qube Holdings managing director Maurice James and LINX Group chief executive Anthony Jones.
The forum is to be held from 5 -7 March.
